The Grocers is a one roomed micropub which opened in March 2015. It is a welcoming and independent freehouse. We aim to showcase real ale from local breweries and a range of cider from the Uk’s finest independent producers. We were the 1st micropub in Salford and one of the 1st in the North-West . Whilst we focus on our cask ale offerings we also have a fantastic range of bottles and cans from local independent breweries for take away.
It’s a community focused pub that connects people. We have no music , no TV , no slot machines – just good beer and good conversation in a relaxing and welcoming environment.
In 2023 I qualified as a pommelier …If you don’t know what one is – Pommeliers are people with an incredible breadth and depth of knowledge and passion for cider and perry, and have the skillset to champion this drink.
Along the course of the last 10 years The Grocers has garnered several Camra awards and has been a regular in the Good Beer Guide.
