Annual holiday details..

NEW YEAR

So that’s another year over(well almost) for us at The Grocers and we want to say thank you for your continued support.

Hasn’t been an easy one for the industry that’s for sure , so your custom really means so much to this little pub.

Hope you have a good few drinks tonight to see in the New Year!!

Thank You Everybody.

Christmas

a year we’ve had..10 to be precise ! More awards (branch cider pub of the year)and recognition GBG again -that’s 10 years on the bounce. So a big thank you for your continuous support throughout this year , thanks for being a part of The Grocers family.

Couple of events on the horizon to look out for…firstly the last Cheese Sunday of the year. And secondly our much anticipated annual Christmas outing.

Cheese Sunday.

Short notice but who doesn’t love some cheese!

Thursday 24th…sorry no beer today! I’ve come down with man flu! So will be closed tonight.Hopefully back open tomorrow.

DELI SUNDAY

Just like cheese Sunday..but with all the delights of your local delicatessen..think pies ,cold meats ,olives etc.

CHEESE SUNDAY

The wait is finally over, we will be hosting our first Cheese Sunday of the year on the 27th April starting at 3pm.

We will also be having a BBQ on sat 24th May… and we are looking at getting a coach trip organised for sometime in July.

29/3/25

Well The Grocers reached the milestone of 10 years , which when I opened I never envisaged , thankfully through hard work and endeavour ( plus some loyal support throughout those years for which I’m truly grateful) that achievement has been accomplished. Hopefully I wont rest on my laurels and will continue to do the best for the pub and my customers. It was mentioned last night that 71% of new businesses fail within 3 years and only 30% reach 10 years , so to survive this long really is quite an achievement especially having to negotiate the covid years too.

What has surprised me most over those 10 years is the sense of community and friendship that has developed between yourselves. The pub has become part of the local community which gives me great satisfaction.

There have been many memorably and hilarious nights in The Grocers and I hope there are quite a few more too come!

The Grocers will be 10 years old this year (March 2025) and we will be planning a few events to celebrate. So please keep an eye out for forthcoming events.

I don’t know how..but The Grocers has become 10years old! So we’ll be having a little celebration on Fri 28th March and your all welcome.

We are excited to be brewing a beer for our 10th Birthday Celebrations with our friends at @Brewsmithbrew
